Rostov's Coffee & Tea
has been roasting coffee in Richmond, Virginia since 1979. It was
founded by Jay Rostov. In 1999 Jay's daughter Tammy Rostov took over
the store and renamed it after her father. Today, Tammy and her
co-workers spend every day filling the streets of Richmonds Carytown
with the incredible smell of roasting coffee. |

Rostov's Coffee &
Tea, formerly Carytown Coffee & Tea, still boasts Richmond's
largest selection of fresh roasted coffees. We still stock loose
teas, mugs, coffee makers and accessories and is still staffed by the
same fun, friendly coffee and tea experts for which the store is known.
With all the roasting done daily on the premises, you will find a
wide selection of freshly prepared whole beans from which to choose.
Whatever your pleasure from rich full roasts like Moca Java and Kenya
AA to intensely robust dark roasts like French and Italian. Rostov's
covers the world map in it's offerings.
At Rostov's, it"s
our goal to give you the ultimate coffee experience. To do so, we
purchase beans from those countries and climates we know grow the best
coffee. And since we're certain of the exact roasting time of
each bean - and the precise roast that will bring out the bean's
flavor - you'll be able to taste our expertise in every cup.
What brings people
into Rostov's ?
Our knowledgeable team
has a lot to do with it. Our friendly staff knows coffee and tea.
They're ready to offer advice, and answer all of your questions.
At Rostov's you typically find 50 different types of coffee. All our
beans are arabica beans, which yield the best taste and flavor. We
acquire those beans from some of the most remote regions of the
world, by working with the best brokers in the business.
Under the guidance of our
master roaster, we roast all of our coffee beans on-site. Since beans
from different countries all have varying roasting temperatures and
times, this process requires extensive knowledge and experience.
To make sure the coffee
we sell is as fresh as possible, we only roast in small quantities.
For our flavored coffee's, we prepare them with a wholesome process,
using only natural flavorings. We coat the beans with flavoring while
they are still warm from roasting.
And let's not forget
about the "tea" part of our name.
At Rostov's we carry 60
different types of loose tea - from more
traditional flavors such as Earl Grey and English Breakfast Teas to
the truly exotic Ping Suey. Our tea selection includes herbal, green
and black teas, and various flavored teas including our popular
Richmond Blend.
Our store is also a great
place to find interesting mugs, quality coffee
makers and tea brewing accessories. |
